In a touching gesture for a friend on her birthday, Ashleigh Whyte organised a surprise fundraiser for MIA. Her friend’s mother had spent two decades battling melanoma and passed away a month ago, not long before her daughter’s birthday. With over 70 people in attendance at Kambah Inn and over $1500 raised, we are so very appreciative of the support on what would have been a difficult day.
Libby Widdup passed away from ocular melanoma in March 2017. She had always wanted to cycle along the Danube river from Vienna to Budapest, so in her memory, her daughter Margot and a dozen of her friends donned ‘Ride for Libby’ shirts and embarked on the week-long adventure in Libby’s memory. This amazing journey has so far raised over $14,500 for MIA, and we cannot thank everyone who donated to the ‘Tour de
