Melanoma March is your chance to help end melanoma. As Melanoma Institute Australia's annual awareness and fundraising initiative, Melanoma March supports life-changing melanoma research.
How it started
Established in 2012 in Sydney, the inaugural Melanoma March was initially a local event to honour those who had died from melanoma, while also providing an opportunity to raise vital funds and awareness.
The event quickly grew, becoming a national initiative of MIA and the major annual awareness and fundraising campaign to support ongoing melanoma research.
Melanoma March has continued to grow year-on-year and is now a collaborative effort between MIA, melanomaWA, Australian Melanoma Research Foundation and Skin & Cancer Foundation Inc. giving the campaign a truly national reach.
Melanoma March is your chance to:
- Remember those lost to melanoma,
- Support our dedicated researchers; and
- Inspire all Australians to help end melanoma.
By participating in one of our national Melanoma March events or by organising your own activity, challenge or event to 'Move for Melanoma', you can support our research and move us closer to a cure.
Melanoma March is a fun community event where participants can walk or march along a short course to raise awareness and funds for research. Join a Melanoma March event at a location near you or join Jay's Longest Melanoma March, a 2000km, 50 day trek from Adelaide to Sydney.
